One Meeeeeelion Miles

Not Actual Car
While reading the article, I couldn't help think of that Cracker song, Low. Some guy up in Maine one million miles. While a million dollars is no longer what it used to be as far as buying power, a million anythingelse is still really impressive.
drove his 1990 Honda

Let's break down the numbers. He has been driving this car for roughly 20-21 years. That means he has driven on average 47,600 miles a year. As the article states, the average driver drives 10-15k miles per year (a third of what this guy did).

That also comes down to about 130 miles a day, assuming he drove 365 days a year. Most likely he drove most of the miles during the week which would mean he drove about 182 miles a day, assuming no leap years. That's basically like commuting back and forth to Montgomery from Birmingham every work day for 21 YEARS straight without a vacation.

Finally it means he sat in that Honda driver's seat about 3 hrs a day or 1,095 hours a year. I've got a stocking stuffer idea for this guy.

Drive Safe.
